Introduction to ITIL Foundation

This section discusses the topics ITIL framework, ITIL as an entity and ITIL Service Lifecycle. It also introduces to the key concepts and definitions used by ITIL Foundation. It also explores the Process Model, RACI, Process Owner, Manager, Practitioner, and Service Owner.

Service Strategy

This section describes the first of the 5 stages of the Service Lifecycle known as Service Strategy. It discusses the definition, purpose, objectives, and scope as well as key concepts/definitions and processes.

Service Design

This section discusses Service Design, the second of five Service Lifecycle stages. It talks about the objectives and scope of the Service Design stage, Service Design processes, Design Coordination and Service Level Management.

Service Transition

This section discusses Service Transition, the third of five Service Lifecycle stages. It defines the purpose, scope, and objectives associated with the Service Transition stage. It also dives into the specific processes which include Transition, Planning, and Support, Service Assets, and Configuration Management.

Service Operation

This section discusses Service Operation, the fourth of five Service Lifecycle stages. It covers the purpose, objectives, scope, business value, and key concepts/definitions like Events, Alerts, and Incidents.

Continual Service Improvement

This section discusses Service Improvement, the fifth of five Service Lifecycle stages. It covers purpose, objectives, and scope. It explains the key concepts like Critical Success Factors, Key Performance Indicators, Baselines, Metrics and the 7 step improvement process.
